4A Games announced Metro Exodus’ The Two Colonels expansion will take on the style of the first two games in the series, with one-way gameplay in “sweltering environments”. From the new trailer released last week, it can be seen that 4A Games is not joking.

The Two Colonels is set in the tunnels beneath the dead city of Novosibirsk, where Colonel Khlebnikov visits his son, Kirill. But also here, the survivors are in big trouble: radiation levels are higher and higher, mutant attacks are on the rise. A year later, Colonel Miller will follow in Khlebnikov’s footsteps, go through the same journey and experience those painful days again.

The trailer looks like a part from 2033 or Last Light in details like dirty, dark tunnels and scary beasts. The game also added a new flamethrower – a dangerous weapon when used indoors.

Metro Exodus: Two Colonels Currently priced at $8 on the Epic Games Store and Steam. Players can also purchase the expansion via the $25 Metro Exodus expansion card. The second expansion, Sam’s Story, will follow the adventures of an American Marine who was working at the Moscow embassy at the time of the bombing, on his way back to his homeland. Sam’s Story is expected to premiere in early 2020.
