JP Orbs can be farmed quite easily in Bravely Default 2.
Bravely Default 2 is a game that is extremely suitable for those who love the classic JRPG series and of course, being a JRPG must have grind, especially when you play in Hard Mode. In the game there will be two different types of experience: EXP – common exp and JP (Job Point) – career points.
With a total of 24 jobs, each with 15 skills, perhaps plowing JP is much more important than EXP, but if you keep going around to fight monsters, sooner or later, your EXP will quickly exceed compared to JP – which makes the game experience less appealing.
So let you have the game experience Bravely Default 2 better, this article will teach you how to farm JP Orb – items that help you get the simplest JP without affecting your EXP.
Instructions on how to farm JP Orb in Bravely Default 2
Preparing to farm JP Orb
The goal of this farming is Big Wiki-Wiki, experts run away in battle. So to be able to farm JP most effectively, you will need to prepare and do a few things. You can also farm with only 1 character, but of course bringing all 4 characters is still more effective.
List to prepare:
- Yes Beastmaster Job through the Chapter One storyline.
- Upgrade Beastmaster up to Lvl 8 to have Spearhead – Passive allows the user to go before equipping the Spear.
- Yes Thief Job through the ending of Chapter One’s storyline.
- Upgrade Thief to Lvl 12 to have Magpie – 25% increase in rarely stolen items, and Rob Blind – helps you to sometimes steal 2 items instead of 1.
- Buy 2 Thief Gloves, available at the shop in Rimedhal for 2830pg, 15% increase in theft rate.
- Buying Spear for the character that you will bring to farm JP Orb.
Summary, each character you bring to the farm will have:
- Main / Sub Job: Thief / Beastmaster
- Equipment: Spear, Thief Gloves x2
- Passive Abilities: Magpie, Rob Blind, Spearhead.
In case you want to optimize farm efficiency, you can upgrade more Freelancer up to Lvl 6 to have Lucky Charm – Increase luck for 5 turns to maximize the chance of stealing and getting rare items. This is just an additional option, not very important, so you can ignore it.
How to farm JP Orb in Bravely Default 2
First you will need to go to Jaws of Judgment dungeon, just located near Rimedhal. Save the game before you enter in case you ‘miss it’.
Go to the deepest level of the Dungeon, where the portal and save point are located. If you have been to this Dungeon, you can use the portal to go directly below. Enter the door right next to the save point and then go to the next area.
Follow the dark slippery ice in front of the gate, be careful not to slide down! Follow the path to the central pillar, where 3 chests are waiting. The chest at the top will be the trap chest, which is also where you will farm the JP Orb so make sure you don’t ‘accidentally’ clear the monsters in this chest!
Double check that the party is fully equipped as instructed and then open the chest to start farming. You will encounter 2 Big Wiki-Wiki and 3 undead. Big Wiki-Wiki will run away but your character will go ahead thanks to skill Spearhead and equipment Spear.
Brave all characters, in turn Steal 2 Big Wiki-Wiki until both announced”Nothing to steal!” then left the battle.
If the monster in the chest is not destroyed, the chest will still be there, so to be able to farm as much JP Orb As you like, your job is to:
- Open trap chest -> Steal from Big Wiki-Wiki -> leave battle -> repeat from opening trap chest.
This method can be applied to any trap chest so if you find another chest that is more ideal for farming JP Orb, Booster Bun nice Monster Treat are all farmable as long as you don’t kill the monsters in the chest.
How to use JP Orb most effectively
Medium JP Orb will give you 150 JP when used, but if you retrofit Passive Abilities JP Up and JP Up and Up, the number of JPs received for each Orb will be 255, more than 105!
So don’t forget to retrofit JP Up and JP Up and Up to get as much JP as possible!
Hopefully this farm guide will make it easier for you to experience Bravely Default II.
