The best (and worst) guns in PUBG

While you can win a match in PUBG without firing a single bullet, for those who don’t like pacifism, finding a gun to shoot is the key to victory. This guide will help you identify which guns are most likely to deal the most damage, discuss the key things you need to know about each weapon, and a few tips for getting the best fit.

Assault Rifles (Rifles)

?SCAR-L: What makes the SCAR-L different from the rest of the guns is the ability to control the recoil when firing, especially when you have equipped the gun with the necessary components. This is the only AR that can be comfortably used in mid-range automatic fire.

Groza: Appearing only in dropped crates, this rifle is somewhat similar to the AKM, but with a higher rate of fire and a slightly different recoil. This gun is very powerful: it is difficult to control when shooting horizontally (ie not aiming to shoot), but when in aim mode the recoil is controllable. This gun is worth getting if you find it, or you’re brave enough to go and grab a supply crate. Remember to prepare some 7.62 cartridges.

M16: A gun doesn’t need a full set of attachments to be as effective as the SCAR-L. The M16 gun when fired individually will be faster and more accurate than other AR guns, while the burst mode is only effective at close range. This gun only allows attachment of accessories in 3 places: magazine (magazine), barrel (barrel) and optics (scope).

AKM: As the gun with the highest damage per bullet, the AKM is terrifying if you can hit your opponent’s head multiple times, but with its high recoil and slightly slower rate of fire, this is probably the rifle weakest without components attached, with a very bad autofire – but good players will take advantage of its raw power. To achieve the best effect, you should use AKM with single-shot mode at a distance of over 20m and always try to headshot as much as possible, because just 2 hits in the head will make the enemy fall. There are only 3 customizable slots: magazine, barrel, and optics.

M416: With the same customization capabilities as the SCAR, you can attach a gun stock – an essential item if you plan to shoot automatically at a distance of over 20m. Although not as stable as SCAR, this gun has a faster rate of fire so it is also a very good choice. This is a gun where everything is good, but nothing is perfect.

Recommended rifle mod accessories:

Vertical grip/Angled grip – The angled grip increases stability a bit and makes switching to aim faster, but you should prioritize the Vertical grip’s increase in stability to attach to your rifle.

Compensator, suppressor, flash hider One of the most important choices you have to make. Suppressor is very powerful on rifles, very well preventing the enemy from detecting you from the direction of the shot. Compensator will greatly reduce recoil if you intend to fire automatically from close range or more. If you find a suppressor, prioritize it over the compensator unless you already have a suppressor mounted in another gun. Recently, the gaming community has tested and concluded that flash hider also reduces recoil as compensator, plus hides gunfire, so the component is worth getting if you find it.

Extended magic – Concise – always more useful than Quickdraw mag. Having more ammo each time you discharge a magazine means that you will be able to shoot more than a small magazine that only has a fast reload.

2x, 4x or 8x . lenses – The rifles are very powerful when there is a scope, especially hot 8x will help you a lot with shots to the head.

SMGs (Submachine Guns)

?Vector: A tiny assassin with massive damage and limited only by its short range. As the game is coming to an end, the playing area is very small, so I really don’t want any other gun but Vector. Almost best to use in automatic fire mode, but when firing at range of 15m or more, it is recommended to shoot under burst mode to keep relative accuracy.

UMP: This is like the offspring of SMGs and assault rifles, with a slower rate of fire but a higher effective range (30-40m) and less recoil. UMP needs a lot of accessories to show its full damage. Shoot in fully automatic mode to knock down opponents in a snap. Should keep a lot of 9mm ammo.

Uzi: Very fast, but at the expense of not high accuracy. When the stock is on it becomes much more stable, but this gun is terrible at shooting at 15-20 meters.

Recommended accessories for SMG:

Extended magic – Extremely useful to help Vector and Uzi shine, because the original magazine of these two guns is very small.

Superpressor – Faster and almost silent shooting combined with SMG will form a very good combo.

Vertical foregrip – Increased power to both Vector and UMP at long range by stabilizing recoil.

Uzi stock – If you really want to use Uzi, don’t forget to get this accessory to increase stability and reduce recoil.

Sniper rifles

?AWM: Very strong. This is the only gun in the game that has the ability to penetrate level 3 hats and shoot 1 shot to kill the opponent. With an extremely good range, this is a very useful weapon to take down those who are wearing good combat gear. You will only find the AWM in the box with its .300 Magnum (7.62x67mm) ammo.

SKS: The second weakest aiming gun, only fulfilling the role of a sniper rifle, that’s all. I would prefer the Assault rifle over the SKS unless the scope has a silencer, because the sight gun accessory is hard to find and lacks a solid selection of single-shot assault rifles.

Kar-98k: A great gun, with a solid iron scope and deadly accuracy. Take a moment to try to hit the head when using Kar, because the slow rate of fire means you will have less chance to shoot and it will be quite difficult to hit moving targets. A headshot will knock out anyone wearing a helmet below level 3. It takes 2 hits to hit someone, 3 shots if the opponent is wearing level 3 armor.

M24: This gun is like AWM’s little brother – although not as powerful, it is still very strong at long range. If you want to hide in the hills and shoot stealthily, this is the gun you should use because of its fairly common 7.62mm ammo.

Mk14 EBR: Since I haven’t picked up this gun from any crates yet, so I don’t have much experience with it yet, but here’s the basics: The Mk14 is a shotgun with a tripod for added stability. fixed when lying down to shoot, and the bullet speed is higher than SKS, Kar98 and M24. This gun with the VSS right below are the only two aiming guns with automatic fire mode.

VSS: This gun is an unusual weapon. It has a fixed scope, although the 9mm subsonic bullet is not very strong if not weak, difficult to aim completely accurately at long distances, the soundproofing will make you more difficult to detect. If you can’t find any hot sights or any assault rifle, this gun will give you mid-range power, and can be useful in the late game.

Recommended accessories for sniper rifles:

Viewfinder 8x, scope 15x – an AWM or M24 without a scope is sad, because these two guns do not have the default barrel on the gun.
