How to register to try Age of Empires: Definitive Edition

Step 1: Visit the Age of Empires Insider Program website, click the button Sign Up today.

Note: Xbox Live account is required to sign up for the trial.

Step 2: Next, choose Accept & Continue. In those terms of use, you need to note the following 5 terms:

• Do not take pictures, videos or recordings of the game.
• Do not post photos, videos or game recordings in any location.
• Do not describe any part of the game in any location, unless we have directed you to.
• Don’t let other people watch you play the game.
• Do not let the game run unattended.

Step 3: Enter your Microsoft account to confirm your Age of Empires 4K demo account registration. The account using the Empire 4K trial subscription must be the same account in use on Windows 10.

Step 4: After successfully registering for the experience, you will receive an email notification to complete the registration step for Age of Empires 4K experience.
