Overwatch 2 will release as F2P in October this year

Blizzard recently announced that Overwatch 2 will enter the stage Early Access on October 4 as a game free-to-play. The sequel to Overwatch will include a new 5v5 setup, cross-play support, and is expected to release on PC, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

At launch, players will have the chance to get their hands on the newest hero of the tank role – the ruthless Australian-born ruler of Junkertown: Junker Queen. Details about Junker Queen, Overwatch 2’s live service model, seasonal content plans, and the next Closed Beta will be shared during the live stream on Thursday, June 16, at 10:00 am (0am GMT+7 June 17).
