The Fall Season Update is here on Dota 2. It brings a lot of changes to Dota Plus and Guild, along with more information on Valve’s plans for the rest of the year.

Among the news about the update, Valve is expected to release a new hero by the end of November.

According to Valve, the development team needs to work together to better communicate about the plan and update with the community from now on. This includes planning for the next hero release – originally planned to be introduced at The International 10.

The developer said that the new hero will be released at the end of November, but this could be delayed if there are any sudden changes. Additionally, Valve will be releasing a few more heroes throughout 2021, including one more in early Spring 2021.

“Recently, we’ve been thinking about changing the way we update the year, instead of just sharing most of the big content and updates around The International time. The team hopes to update the content information more regularly so that players know better than before.”

Valve also changed their approach to the issue of player attitudes and toxicity. It can be decided publicly through ‘Conduct Summary’ scores between players through a report or commend vote, or it can also be reprogrammed to become a hidden element in the game, Specifically, the developer has not disclosed.

That includes improvements in the smurf detection system as well as behavioral score adjustments. MMR related improvements are also in development and experimental changes will be available soon.

Valve also talked about adopting the new Overwatch system in hopes of tackling toxic and game-breaking behavior. Details about it will be shared in the near future.

Finally, the game engine will be improved so that Dota runs better on multi-core CPUs. This update will roll out over the next few weeks when the final testing phase is complete.
