NiP announces new member Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson. He will replace William “draken” Sundin in the official Ninja in Pajamas squad.

This decision was made due to “personality and in-game” differences between AWPer and the team. NiP quickly reached out to Lekr0 after he was replaced by Xizt at fnatic.

In the announcement, the team’s coach, Faruk “pita” Pita, explained that NiP could not find the “right formula” for the draken in terms of roster roles.

This unexpected move comes just over a week before the team heads to Shanghai, China for the CS:GO Asia Championships. This tournament brings together famous names like Natus Vincere, Heroic and Virtus.pro.

Then, NiP will have until the end of the month to prepare for the closed qualifying round of the Europe Minor – a round the team failed to get through in the previous two Majors.

“William is a young player with great talent. But Counter-Strike is not just about talent, because the game also focuses on all the players. Everyone has to play their part in the team, both in and out of the game.”

“Unfortunately, we cannot find the right formula for William at the moment. This forced us to make the decision to substitute him for the time being. We hope to see him return to the pro scene in the future. Taking his place, we are delighted to have found a worthy replacement in Lekr0.” Faruk “pita” Pita.

NiP’s current lineup is as follows:

Sweden Dennis “dennis” Edman

Sweden Patrick “f0rest” Lindberg

Sweden Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund

Sweden Fredrik “REZ” Sterner

Sweden Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson

Bosnia and Herzegovina Faruk “pita” Pita (Coach)

Sweden William “draken” Sundin (sub)
