One of the icons of the Dota 2 community and the player who was once considered the best carry in the world, Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei has been out of the pro game for over a year. Which match in your professional career has impressed you the most?
iG vs. Newbee at TI7 Bracket won round 2. We had a chance, but we didn’t take it. If we win that series, we will get to the top 3 and thereby boost the team’s morale a lot. Also, the top 3 will also break my old TI record.
If you could choose a game that you play 100% perfectly, which game would it be?
I don’t think I have a perfect game, every game I play feels like I can do better.

I feel that AME and Nisha belong to tier S and Ramzes, Paparazi, Miracle and I are tier A.
Which Chinese team do you think can win TI9?
VG or LGD. If I had to choose one, I would go with LGD.
How’s your weight loss regimen going?
You may not believe me, but I lost 5kg in just 5 months.
Have you considered returning to the pro scene?
Not really, but I can make a team to compete in some open qualifiers and minor tournaments. I’m not young anymore, if I go pro again, my wife might leave me.
Do you have tickets to TI9 yet?
I stayed up all night to buy a ticket, but it didn’t work. I have contacted Perfect World and Valve but they are not interested.
