Valve announces DOTA: Dragon’s Blood anime on Netflix

DOTA Dragons Blood Gameworld - Emergenceingame

Valve has officially announced the Dota 2 anime anime will be broadcast on Netflix called DOTA: Dragon’s Blood. The trailer was revealed on Netflix’s official youtube channel.

“We are excited to announce a brand new anime series that explores the Dota universe. As fans of Dota and the community at large, we look forward to sharing this new journey with you,” Valve said on Twitter.

True to the title, DOTA: Dragon’s Blood on Netflix will focus on the hero Dragon Knight. Trailer details the young knight riding a horse. A voice asked, “What are you called?” In response, the character says, “Davion, dragon rider.” Davion then rushes down the hill to fight a giant reptilian monster that is attacking a group of people. With a youthful appearance compared to the game, this is said to be the original storyline of Dragon Knight.

The plot in DOTA: Dragon’s Blood

The original plot of Dragon Knight revolved around Davion’s quest to hunt the Slyrak (eldwurm dragon) dragon. After years of searching, he was disappointed to learn that Slyrak was old, weak, and dying. Though Davion prepares to leave in disappointment, Slyrak demands a mortal battle with Davion. The two fight to the death, causing the two to merge into one in order to survive. Now, when Davion leaves, he gains the power and knowledge of dragons.

DOTA: Dragon’s Blood will continue these events and include other characters in the game. Wykrhm Reddy shared the release date of the full trailer on Twitter and said Dragon Knight will journey with Mirana, as they “confront demons and gods and unexpected comrades”.

When will DOTA: Dragon’s Blood come out?

Netflix has confirmed that DOTA: Dragon’s Blood will air on March 25. Instead of releasing every episode every week, Netflix has a habit of releasing the entire season at once. Hopefully this time too, but the manufacturer has not confirmed anything about this information.
