RIDE 4 is a first-person Moto racing simulation game from developer Milestone that debuted on PS5 earlier this year. The title was first released in October 2020, but an upgraded version exclusively for PS5 was released in January of this year. Recently, the game has become a hot selling point of the gaming community when a video of YouTuber Joy Of Gaming has reached more than a million views because the footage in the game resembles that of a real moto race.
Upon its release, RIDE 4 received rave reviews from fans of the series and the gaming community in general. Developer Milestone’s care for the game’s realistic graphics makes RIDE 4 one of the best graphics games on PS5 at the moment, when in a recently posted video, YouTuber Joy Of Gaming captured the scene of a motorcycle race in RIDE 4 in first-person view in the rain, and the combination of the high frame rate brought the scene to life in a realistic and beautiful way.

If you don’t know RIDE 4, many people will think this is a video of an actual motocross race shot from the front camera of the riders. Realistic reflections in the car’s mirrors, raindrops on the windshield and taillights help to simulate the RIDE racing experience like in real life. One comment below the video said, “watching this video at 1440p looks like real life”, while others commented that it was one of the most graphically beautiful games they had ever seen.
Modern racing games try to attract players with slick graphics and beautiful racing cars. Thanks to the powerful hardware on the PS5 and the Ray Tracing graphics technology that has recently become a staple of next-generation titles, the technique simulates realistic lighting and reflection effects. Unfortunately, not all racing titles can take full advantage of this technology.
