Shroud will officially return to Twitch with a new cool logo

Mixer star Michael “shroud” Grzesiek has shared why he won’t ‘go pro’ Valorant (or any other game), and his streaming career remains a priority.

Shroud is a former professional Counter-Strike player who competed at the top level more than five years ago – he also won an ESL Pro League title. So, the 25-year-old streamer knows there’s a lot to be done to become a pro and stay that way.

But with shroud joining Valorant since the game’s closed beta began on April 7, many have been predicting when he will ‘go pro’ for Riot’s shooter.

In familiar shroud style, he quashed any rumors during a recent stream when chat asked when he would go pro in Valorant.

“No! I didn’t say that, just joking. You won’t see me go pro in any more games – we’ve been through this,” shroud explained.

Shroud talks about the complexity of having to compete professionally in a strategy game like Valorant while working as a full-time streamer. He explained that the two things cannot go together.

“If you really want to be at the top (top of the top), you can’t stream your workout,” admitted the Mixer star.

“It’s an easy way for people to learn your strategy and play… So even though it’s fun to play professionally, I can’t stream at the same time.” Shroud later said jumping back and forth between stream and go pro was “very challenging”.

When one viewer reasoned that professional Call of Duty player Seth “Scump” Abner could still do it, shroud immediately protested that “Call of Duty is nothing.”

Although the former CS player remains the same, he will continue to participate in major tournaments with Valorant players to continue to keep his form and skills.
