Overwatch’s 1.30 update is officially live, bringing a large number of changes and a new hero – Ashe.

Overwatch patch 1.30 – with the arrival of Ashe – has left the PTR server to be on the official server. In addition to the good news above, we have the bad news that everyone needs to reinstall the game completely. This information was released by Blizzard last week. For this reason, Blizzard shared a few tips on the Overwatch forums to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Updates can take up to 20GB of space, but less if you have PTR installed. You don’t have to delete Overwatch before this update arrives, but you do need to stay calm: Blizzard says load speeds can show 0 KB/s “for seconds,” but that’s completely normal. So don’t stop the installation unless you want to start over.

New Hero: Ashe

You may have to wait a bit longer to find the game once the update is complete, and it’s better to avoid Competitive mode for a while until things settle down. As usual with new heroes, Ashe won’t be on Competitive Play for 2 weeks, so if you want to experience Ashe, play Quick Match.

Ashe’s main weapon is a loaded rifle called Viper with semi-automatic fire and slower ADS aiming mode. Her close range gun is the Coach Gun, which can knock enemies back or launch herself into the air to move to higher terrain. She throws mines and explodes after a while to deal AoE damage to the enemy; she can also shoot it to explode earlier. And Ashe’s ultimate will summon a giant BOB, an Omnic that can plow through enemy squads.

Change of other heroes

Mercy, Reaper, Roadhog and Symmetra are all updated in 1.30. Mercy’s Ultimate heals longer after her base health was nerfed in the last patch, so the duration has been reduced by 15% and it heals for 60 health per second instead of 50. Reaper’s Hellfire Shotguns now have The spread is narrower, making it more stable. His Life Steal has also been increased from 20% to 30%, while Symmetra’s Photon Projector’s main attack heals 20% faster.

Roadhog Reworked Most: “Roadhog got a lot of big changes to make his moves more stable. Chain Hook used to have problems when hooking the opponent to jump. Since Chain Hook’s cooldown now begins immediately upon use, it no longer depends on Roadhog’s distance from the target,” Blizzard explained.

“We also moved a few projectiles closer to the center of Roadhog’s spread, making the damage more consistent. Previously, there was a bug where standing for a long time caused nearby objects to fly farther than expected. After fixing the bug, we still wanted to keep the gun’s knockback ability, so we increased the speed to retain some of these features.

The update also reduces the setup time for Assault, Escort, Assault/Escort maps from 60 to 45 seconds, Assemble Your Team time in the above maps from 10 to 25 seconds, removes the “Unlock All” mode in Hero Gallery, and fix many major bugs and add tweaks.
