The team at Gosu.AI, the party responsible for the “Personal Esports Training Lab” project decided to confront the hacking problem in Dota. This is the first an-cheat system and the tournament API is under development.

[penci_blockquote style=”style-2″ align=”none” author=”” font_style=”italic”]EVERY DOTA 2 player has faced a HACKER at least once. WE CANNOT SEE THIS PROBLEM, THAT IS WHY WE HAVE STARTED DEVELOPMENT OF ANTI-CHEAT SYSTEM AND API FOR TOURNAMENTS[/penci_blockquote]

Currently, Gosu.AI can detect players using Zoomout, Autostop creeps and Items auto drop. Anyone can use the Gosu.AI bot to scan game data for the previous 7 days to let you know if they’ve played with a hacker. The bot will continue to do that in the future, all you need is to add it to your Steam friends list.

For example, Camera hack is the most common hack, used in 12.24% of scannable matches (about 200,000 with over 1 million players). It gives hackers the ability to see farther on the map without much clicking and move, react faster to situations that are not on your screen.

[penci_blockquote style=”style-2″ align=”none” author=”” font_style=”italic”]TO Detect HACK, WE EXTRACT MOUSE MOVEMENT DATA AND ALL ACTIONS THE PLAYER PERFORM ON THE MAP FROM THE REPALYs. TO ANALYZE THE PLAYER BEHAVIOR, WE Integrate MULTIPLE PARAMETERS LIKE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE MOUSE POSITION ON THE SCREEN AND THE ACTION POSITION THAT ARE REALLY RECEIVED. THEN WE USE THE MACHINE IMPROVEMENT METHODOLOGY CALLED ‘ANOMALY DETECTION’: MATHEMATICS FROM ‘HACKED’ MATERIALS (MANUAL TESTED BY DOTA EXPERTS) AND TRY TO Detect “SUSPECTIVE” ACTIVITIES.[/penci_blockquote]
