Not only for playing games, now Switch helps the police solve the case of the university professor’s murder

Of the console is a tool to help gamers play top AAA games or exclusive games, but sometimes it also promotes unexpected effects. Matthew Wiser, 39, is a professor at the University of South Alabama, on November 20, he was found dead at his home on Gaillard Street, Mobile City (USA). From the traces at the crime scene, the police confirmed that there had been a burglary and the ill-fated Professor Wiser was shot and killed by the thieves.​

By tracing the machine’s online activities, the police tracked down and found two suspects, Tiquez Timmons and Derric Scott, both just 20 years old.

Timmons later admitted that he drove, dropped his accomplice Derric Scott at Wiser’s house, then picked him up when he was done and it was Scott who opened fire and shot Wiser. It is known that both suspects do not have any relationship with the victim, this is simply a robbery and both choose their target at random.​

Prior to that, Scott was found guilty of 3rd degree burglary in juvenile court for classroom theft and Timmons was a frequent truant, but neither of them had a criminal record as adults. During Wednesday’s trial, both Scott and Timmons were charged with felony murder.
