nitr0 became the Valorant captain of 100 Thieves

100 Thieves has announced that former IGL Team Liquid Nick “nitr0” Cannella will be joining the organization’s Valorant roster.

This move comes days after nitr0 suddenly announced that it was leaving the long-standing organization, Team Liquid. While nitr0 mentioned he would continue to stay in the esports scene after leaving Team Liquid, one would expect him to join another CSGO team, similar to what Finn “karrigan” Anderson did when he was kicked out of FaZe and Astralis .

But nitr0 decided to follow the path many other former CSGO pros have taken and switch to Valorant. Many lower tier CSGO players officially switched to Valorant weeks after the game’s launch. Among the pro players who switched to playing Valorant, Nitr0 is considered the first tier 1 CSGO player.

Many fans predict nitr0 will jump from CSGO to Valorant based on his recent Twitch streams. In the introduction video on Twitter, 100 Thieves wants to promote nitr0’s exemplary leader image like when he was playing for Team Liquid. The end of the video 100 Thieves also mentions a new sponsorship image for the organization, which is Marvel.

Nitr0 reunites with Hiko at a new stop

Nitro’s departure from CSGO Team Liquid coincided with Liquid’s signing with the new Valorant team. This led many to question why the North American organization did not recommend nitr0 for a new position in the Valorant team. Instead, Liquid recruited many former CSGO players, including the one-tap headshot machine: Adil “ScreaM” Benrlitom.

Former Liquid IGL will be reuniting with fellow Liquid fellow Spencer “Hiko” Martin on the 100 Thieves roster. Hiko is a player who also jumped from CSGO to Valorant when the game came out not long ago.

With the participation of nitr0, 100T still needs three more people to complete the lineup when 100 Thieves previously disbanded their old Valorant roster.
