New Tec-9 is officially in the game: beta is over

The changes Valve introduced in last week’s Beta, including Tec-9 fixes, Crouch-jump bugs, and silent jumping, have officially been added to the game.

A few days ago, Valve released a Beta update, most importantly deciding on the crouch-jump bug, a bug where players can peek through many objects without being detected by the opponent.

In addition, today’s official update to the game includes important changes to the accuracy and ammo count of the Tec-9. Valve’s first step in “focusing on” usage skills” of the pistols (green).

Here is the changelog of today’s update:

[GAMEPLAY]

  • Shifting focus to pistols with the aim of “concentrating skill ability” for weapons, starting with the Tec-9
  • Tec-9: Tec-9 has been modified to focus on aiming while keeping the weapon’s high mobility. Current changes include:
  • Slightly improved accuracy when shooting one by one
  • Significant decrease in accuracy when firing continuously
  • Ammo and ammunition reserves reduced to 18 and 90.
  • Increased the height limit of the vision system including situations where the player is in mid-air, preventing first-person views from being able to see above their heads in third-person. (bug crounch-jump)
  • Players will make a sound when they fall to the ground if they un-crouch while crouch-jumping.
  • Fixed a lot of inconsistencies where the sound wasn’t played when the player was hidden/closed by a wall (Thanks, simpleavaster!)

[LINUX]

  • Rearranged the way CS:GO is run to reduce one processing step.
