I’m really glad Valve has started to make improvements in the reshaping of pistols, but it seems Valve is going in the wrong direction when it comes to updating changes.

The greens in CSGO have always had problems with shooting accuracy. It is really difficult to shoot accurately when you shoot too fast because the accuracy increases so quickly. Because green is supposed to be the weakest, with its current high damage, it’s quite understandable that Valve wants to tweak it, especially the one-on-one phase at close range, which a lot of people don’t like. complained. This makes pistols (especially high damage guns in roudn eco) considered too ‘unlucky’ (unfair). The player will shoot continuously, although the gun is not accurate, but its high damage is more beneficial than the bullets will fire.

Back with this update, Valve has made a move to change the way to shoot pistols to improve the player’s skills and Valve has started with the Tec-9. They try to encourage players to increase aiming skills and patience while shooting by increasing the accuracy of the first bullet. Yes, shooting individual bullets with the Tec-9 will now benefit more from this change, but increasing inaccuracy like Valve has done only makes the experience more and more confusing. The player will still shoot continuously and pray that the RNGesus (probability system) will finish the enemy, rather than waiting to shoot and sometimes die first.

In addition, the increase in accuracy when shooting the first shot will also lead to more accurate shooting when moving, these changes will make players more accustomed to swinging in and out in places with shielded corners. (ie AD at a hidden angle), which increases the ability to headshot even more. Actually, I was surprised by this, when maybe Valve didn’t know that moving and shooting accurately was a huge advantage of the Tec-9, and that was the point that needed to be changed.

Ultimately, what Valve should do with pistols is to find ways to encourage players to have more effective firing patterns in a variety of ways (tap fast, or just fire the first few rounds, etc.). Using the 1.6 USP as an example, tap fast and shoot accurately continuously with only a few rounds and the accuracy increases slower than in CSGO. Continuing to spam bullets will render the USP useless, but if the player can really watch the first bullets, it will be very beneficial. Even with eco, you can use USP to double tap on the head (2 quick taps) provided you have to perfectly align those 2 bullets at close range. This is the most lacking in the pistols in CSGO, the lack of options. Damage needs to be reduced if the accuracy/usefulness of those guns is increased in the changes. The adjustment is NOT easy at all, not just changing a few parameters in the accuracy of the first bullet and the accuracy of the shot. Adjustment requires a lot of thought and experimentation and I hope Valve will take the time to figure this out before releasing the change with the tec-9 and similar changes to the pistols. other.
