How to unlock characters in Risk of Rain

How to unlock characters in Risk of Rain

1. Unlock Enforcer

To unlock the Enforcer character, the player must complete the quest to defeat Magma Worm, Wandering Vagrant and Colossus.

Enforcer is equipped with the following weapons and skills:

– Riot Shotgun: short range gun with 160% damage.
– Shield Slam: 210% damage.
– Skills: this character has defensive skills, increasing attack speed.
Crowd Control skill: use a stun grenade in a wide radius, dealing 250% damage.

2. Unlock Bandit

To unlock Bandit, the player must reach level 3.

Bandit’s skills:

Blast: Use slug to deal 150% damage.
– Toss dynamite: throws explosives in an arc with 230% damage.
– Smoke Bomb: cast after 3 seconds or when using another skill, takes enemies by surprise and deals 140% damage
– Lights Out: aim at the enemy’s head, dealing 600% damage. If an enemy is defeated, Bandit’s cooldown will be reset to 0.

3. Unlock Huntress

The character Huntress will be unlocked after the player kills 15 monsters.

Huntress skills:

– Strafe: shoots arrows with 140% damage.
– Laser Glaive: throw glaive to damage enemies (up to 4 enemies) for 300% damage
– Blink: teleports forward with slow movement speed.
– Cluster Bomb: shoots explosive arrows with 320% damage. This arrow drops bombs that explode with a size of 6 x 80%.

4. HAN- EASY Unlock

To unlock the character HAN-D in Risk of Rain, the player’s task is to find Robot Janitor inside the crate located in area 2 in the last level.

HAN-D’s skills:

– HURT: equip weapons to participate in combat with the ability to deal 180% damage.
– DRONE: Takes down the drone with 190% damage, and has the ability to heal itself.
– OVERCLOCK: Increases attack speed and stuns enemies by 30%.
– FORCED-RASSAMBLY: applies weapons with up to 400% damage.

5. Unlock Engineer

To unlock the Engineer character, the player must purchase all 40 drones.

Engineer’s skills:

– Tri-nade: launch 3 grenades with 3 x 80% damage.
– Bounding Mine: Drop traps that explode for 300% damage.
– Thermal Harpoons: launch 4 rockets with 4 x 250% damage.
– Auto-Turret: drop spell towers (up to 2) for 3×100% damage over 30 seconds.

6. Unlock Miner

By killing the Direseeker monster in the tunnel, located in the bottom right corner Magma Barracks to unlock the Miner character.

Miners are equipped with skills:

– Crush: “crush” nearby enemies to deal 140% damage.
– Drill Charge: charges for 2 seconds, dashes through enemies to deal up to 600% damage.
– Backblast: shoot backwards to deal 200% damage to enemies.
– To The Stars: jump into the air and kill all enemies with 3 x 180% damage.

7. Unlock Sniper

Unlocking the Sniper character is quite simple, just need the player to pass level 1 in the game.

Sniper’s skills include:

– Snipe / Reload: shoots enemies for 250% damage. Reactivate the reload ability to increase damage.
– Steady Aim: complete objectives carefully, increasing damage the longer the button is held. The fired bullet has the ability to deal up to 2000% damage.
– Military Training: upside down for long distances.
– Spotter: SCAN / RETURN: send Spotter to analyze the deadliest enemy, increase 1005 attack chance.

8. Unlock Acrid

To unlock the character Acrid in Risk of Rain, the player’s task is to go to the upper right of the Sunken Tomb, open the cage and kill the creature inside.

Acrid’s skills include:

– Festering Wounds: Smash the opponent, dealing 120% damage. Target is poisoned for 24%/second damage.
– Neurotoxin: Spit poison for 220% damage, stunning enemies for 1 second.
Caustic Sludge: Releases poisonous mud for 2 seconds, dealing 90% damage to enemies.
– Epidemic: spreads deadly disease, poisoning enemies with 100% damage/second.

9. Unlock Mercenary

Complete 5 game levels to unlock Mercenary characters.

Mercenary is equipped with skills including:

– Laser Sword: deals damage to 3 different enemies for 130% damage.
Whirlwind: Deals 2 x 80% damage to all nearby enemies.
– Blinding Assault: Stuns enemies for 120% damage.
– Eviscerate: aim at the nearest enemy and attack for 6 x 110% damage.

10. Unlock Loader

Get all 30 different items in battle to unlock the Loader character.

Loader skills include:

– Knuckleboom: Defeat nearby enemies for 120% damage. 3rd hit with 240% damage.
– Debris Shield: retains 100% health for 3 seconds, and also increases movement speed.
– Hydraulic Gauntlet: Stuns and damages enemies 210%.
– M440 Conduit: places a lightning rod and deals 80%/second damage for 9 seconds.

11. Unlock CHEF ONLY

To unlock CHEF, the player’s task is to find the items Sprouting Egg, Foreign Fruit, Bustling Fungus, vbaf Bitter Root in one play.

CHEF is equipped with skills:

– Dice: throw the dagger at the enemy to deal 100% damage.
– Sear: deals 260% damage to enemies.
– Glaze: stuns, dealing +78% damage to enemies.
– Second Helping: heal and strengthen in the next battle.
