The assault rifle is usable at close, medium and long distances. Their Epic/Legendary version is called the SCAR, one of the weapons most gamers want to get while playing Fortnite.

2. Tactical Shotgun
The two most popular types of Shotgun are Tactical Shotgun and Pump Shotgun. The Tactical Shotgun has a faster rate of fire, although it does less damage than the Pump Shotgun. That makes it much better, overall it’s a great weapon to be able to hit at close range, in a tight spot. Of course, both handguns can be used. It’s just a matter of personal preference, which is right for you in any given situation.

3. Compact SMG
The SMG is a classic weapon that’s also been around for a long time in Fortnite’s history. It is not the best weapon in terms of damage but the SMG can completely wreak havoc in battles because of its extremely high rate of fire. In Fortnite Chapter 2, the SMG was renamed and upgraded to Compact SMG. Should be carried in your pocket in case you need a light gun.

4. Pump Shotgun
Stronger, slower version of Tactical Shotgu. Pump Shotguns fire slowly and reload very slowly, but they can do great explosive damage if you hit the target. It became slightly weaker in Chapter 2 than previous Fortnite remakes. But the upgraded Epic/Legendary version of the Pump Shotgun is very powerful and it may even qualify to be more useful than the Tactical Shotgun.

5. Burst . Rifle
The Burst Rifle has also been around for a while but it has always been somewhat weak. But the upgraded Epic/Legendary version of this weapon is new to Fortnite and was only updated in Chapter 2. It’s somewhat of a stroke of luck and deals a lot less damage than regular assault rifles. But in the Fortnite Chapter 2 version, it turned into a pretty interesting weapon.
