Following in the footsteps of Ninja and Shroud, another famous streamer leaves Twitch

In recent times, Twitch has seen the departure of two streamer popular is Ninja and Shroud, however it seems this is not the end yet. Another streamer today announced his departure from Twitch to join Mixer, that’s Cory “King Gothalion” Michael. Michael mainly livestreams Destiny 2 and Borderlands 3this streamer currently has 1,014,724 followers on Twitch.​

Following the aforementioned statement, Michael also posted a video on Twitter to explain his sudden decision. Michael expressed:

Michael will start streaming exclusively on Mixer from October 29, but he shared that he will still appear as a guest on other platforms’ livestreams. As a famous streamer, Michael’s channel on Mixer has attracted up to 11,000 followers just hours after the above announcement.​

Looks like Mixer is showing serious moves in development livestream platform mine. The first is to attract the world’s top streamer Ninja with a huge amount of money said to be up to 50 million USD, followed by a contract with Shroud – Shroud’s famous streamer. However, as we haven’t seen the massive viewership increase in Mixer yet, it looks like it will take some time for the platform to catch up to Twitch.​
