Fishing tips in Play Together

Fishing is one of the main activities in Play Together. You can sell your prized catches for in-game currency (aka stars) or put them in your indoor aquarium to show off to your friends.

The following fishing tips from EmergenceInGame in Play Together will help you practice your fishing skills:

Go to Plaza (Kaia Island). Tap the smartphone icon on the left side of the screen. Tap the “Map” icon.

Under the Plaza map, search “Fishing Shop” is the list of areas on the right side of the map. Tap this location name.

Next, press the . button “Navigate” in the lower left corner of the screen. An arrow will appear below your character, making it easy to navigate to the store.

Follow the arrow to get to the store. It is located near the Ferris wheel. Move closer to the shopkeeper and tap the cart icon (in the speech bubble) above him.

Press the button “Purchase Fishing Rod” in the lower right corner of the screen. Buy the most basic wooden stick. It is ideal for novice anglers and is the cheapest. Cost 450 stars.

Now go back to the map on the smartphone and tap the toolbar below the location list on the right. The pier is actually very close to the fishing shop and the ferris wheel. You don’t even have to look at the map to find it.

Go to the edge of the pier, close to the water. Now tap your red backpack on the right side of the screen. Click the closed umbrella icon to open the tools section.

Tap the fishing rod to equip it to your avatar.

A new action (bait icon) will be displayed in the lower right corner of the screen, just above the jump button. Tap on it to start fishing.

Please be patient. Keep an eye on the water. You can drag your finger for a better view.

Soon you will notice the shadow of a fish near the bait, on the surface of the water. Keep calm.

An exclamation mark will appear above the fish’s shadow. It means it has seen the bait. The fish will now come closer to the bait. Sometimes it won’t catch the bait, just joking around.

But when you see it moving faster and faster with the loud sound of the shaft spinning, that’s when you need to pull the bar up. Tap the fish and fishing rod icon in the bottom right to drag it.

Like I said earlier, it’s all about timing and you shouldn’t pull the lever too early or late when you hear the sound of the shaft spinning. Thankfully, there is no time limit and you can catch fish at any time without any pressure.

Once you have successfully caught, tap the “Store” icon to store the fish.

Now go back to the shop, click on the cart button above the shop owner and press the sell button. Tap your recent catch and then tap the blue button at the bottom to sell.

The pier isn’t the only fishing spot in Play Together. You can catch fish anywhere there is water, whether it’s a pier or a swimming pool. The swimming pool is located near the fashion shopping mall. There is a staircase next to the mall leading to the swimming pool.
