Today, according to Don Haci’s inside source, ESEA (CS:GO’s popular third-party matchmaking software service) is accused of sending e-mails to professional CS:GO players with the intent pay these players $2,000 per month for exclusive use of their server platform. In addition, the inside source said that the pro must “sign the NDA” (non-disclosure agreement) with ESEA “forbid the players to talk about this”.
If this news is true, it means that the players are bound – and secretly – to exclusively use the ESEA platform, preventing them from using the competitor’s service, FACEIT.
This can especially be problematic for younger players who might sign because of the amount of money they get offered and just don’t know any better.

In the past, ESEA has caused many scandals, and the most prominent is the embedding of malware in their software. Malware forces installed users to plow Bitcoin without their knowledge. ESEA later said that the software was not intended for human consumption and that one of its employees was taking advantage of the software for his own gain. The platform then publicly apologized and compensated users with a free month of their paid service, as well as donating to charity and increasing its competition prizes.
