China legend – Zhang “Xiao8” Ning – will return to the pro scene, with a brand new role: EHOME coach. The team also made another change ahead of the TI8 qualifiers, bringing in Hu “Guvara” Sen to replace Xu “Hym” Zhi in the offlane.

Xiao8 has been playing Dota professionally since 2010. He quickly became famous with his teammates and then won The International 2014 with Newbee. Xiao8 officially retired from professional football in January 2017, leaving the team LGD.Forever young. Despite announcing his retirement, he continued to play for the Newbee Boss team and later Big God: the group of friends that entered tournaments for fun including quite a few DPC qualifiers this season. He will try the official coach position for the first time in his career.
Guvara is a rookie who only started his career in mid-2016 with EHOME’s 2nd team, EHOME.Luminous, before joining EHOME’s official team from EHOME.Immortal. He was in the starting XI in 2017 for only 4 months before being sent to the bench, then Eclipse, VG.Potential and finally back to EHOME.Immortal.

EHOME is almost missing this season despite possessing an almost all-star lineup including veterans and former TI champions. Despite being quite active in the open and closed qualifiers of this season, they only appeared at one DPC event when they got a direct invitation to MDL Macau – the EHOME tournament that was almost eliminated from the group stage.
