After PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming advanced to the next round in the previous day’s win bracket, another Chinese team moved on.
Evil Geniuses and Keen Gaming opened the playoffs winning the bracket with a tense BO3 series. The opening game saw EG completely destroy KG, not giving the Chinese team a chance. With only 6 lives in the whole game, it seemed like the series would be ‘easy as hell’ for EG – but things suddenly changed in game 2.

KG dominated the game to equalize the series, giving themselves the advantage and lasting the match for nearly an hour. In game 3, EG had a strange draft, picking Mirana for SumaiL. As a result, the hero did not perform as the team expected and in less than 30 minutes, KG knocked the NA team to the lower bracket.
Keen Gaming will join VG, PSG.LGD to advance to the next round: marking three Chinese teams in the top 6 Major.
The last series of the day saw Fnatic face Virtus.pro, the winner going to face Keen Gaming in the next round in the winner’s bracket. Fnatic starts with Abed’s Templar Assassin. VP at one point controlled the game, but the Southeast Asian team quickly extinguished that opportunity and took the lead.
Fnatic barely allowed the opponent any breathing room in the later game, traversing the map almost perfectly and finding the kills needed to take control of the game. However, VP was not ready to give up, when he found a big teamfight phase, helping him to come back.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to undo everything for the Russian bear. Fnatic performed miraculously, continuing to advance into the winning bracket. And VP will go down to the losing bracket to meet Chaos Esports Club.
Today’s match will see two more teams eliminated: Team Secret vs Infamous and Mineski vs J.Storm.
