Dota Underlords ‘Big Update’, the biggest update coming soon

Vavlve’s Auto Chess game, Dota Underlords, is about to leave beta. Now, the developer releases daily updates introducing new things.

Dota Underlords is growing exponentially. After many months in beta, the Underlords team is planning to launch the final version soon, and they will celebrate the event with a major update called “The Big Update”.

Starting October 18, the team will update daily with details of The Big Update. Dota Underlords announces new alliances and characters. On day one, Valve announced the alliance Healer, which increases healing when present. Joining this group, we have Dazzle, part of alliance Troll. Dazzle is a tier-2 that uses Shadow Wave to heal allies and damage opponents.

Alliance Insect was also revealed, with the ability to create “spiders” from the edge of the board, and can bite opponents, causing them to miss. Weaver, Nyx Assassin, and Broodmother are new members of the Insect alliance.

On day two, the team announced the alliance Champion with Legion Commander as the team’s hero. Champions receive all allies’ bonuses, and Legion Commander (also Human) can receive bonuses for selecting targets and taking down the weakest piece on the board.

With the Brute alliance, we have two new heroes Lifestealer (healing on attack) and Magnus (increasing damage to allies and giving them the Cleave ability).

Released on June 20 this past summer, Underlords is the latest title in the autobattler war between the three developers. The game is inspired by the Autochess mod in Dota 2. The team of the mod developed its own game called Autochess. Riot Games also participates in Teamfight Tactics, and Valve is Dota Underlords.

Dota Underlords is also available on mobile, and supports crossplay and the ability to switch from PC to phone even in mid game (and vice versa).

With new heroes and alliances, Valve is bringing a lot of names to Dota Underlords. Let’s wait and see what the Valve team plans for The Big Update this time.
