It all started with an early elimination in the Stockholm Major qualifier. Both Vici Gaming and Aster, the first two teams to reach the first two Majors of the season were eliminated last week. Therefore, the two sides decided to adjust the lineup in the short time between the Major and Minor qualifiers.
VG experimented by removing his captain, Pan “Fade” Yi, and offlaner Yang changed to support. Sun “Agressif” Zheng was brought in to replace him in the offlane. This is an unexpected decision of VG, because Yang has never been a weak link. The first day of the Minor Qualifiers took place in disaster, and VG was just one series away from being eliminated. However, the team is back to the original lineup and perhaps the test is just a way to help Yang find the motivation to prove his skills and gamesense are still there.

It is not clear whether Mushi will continue to stay at Aster and whether Vici Gaming will decide not to change its original lineup?
Before attending the Starladder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor in early March, Vici Gaming will head to MDL Macau this February.
