Cyberpunk 2077’s first expansion will arrive in 2023

A lot of interesting details were announced during the latest financial meeting of CD Projektbut the most important thing for the fans Cyberpunk 2077 is the time of release expansion first of the game. Unfortunately, fans of this RPG will continue to have to wait until 2023. However, the developer promises that more details about the expansion will be revealed later this year.

CD Projekt announced the news on the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account, revealing its plans to produce titles in 2022. Cyberpunk 2077 mission director Paweł Sasko explains why The reason behind the extended release time is because the development team wants to make sure that the expansion is built properly. When looking back at the game’s disastrous debut, perhaps this was the right choice.​

In addition, CD Projekt’s latest financial meeting further revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 18 million copies since its launch and The Witcher 3 sold over 40 million, bringing the series’ total sales to over 60 million. The developer also shared about the number of employees on each project, of which more than half of the studio are working on brand new projects including The Witcher 4.​
