The latest CSGO update puts an end to the sale of new keys between players and on the Steam Community Market.

On the blog, Valve pointed to the continued increase in the use of CSGO keys in the “global phishing system” as the cause of this change. The article continued “at this time, all keys exchanged or sold in the market come from a fraudulent source.”

This change only applies to new keys, ie existing keys in inventroy or unaffected market.

This change also fixes an issue with the game’s interface, as well as exploits a bug in Danger Zone that allows players to avoid taking damage if the name is invalid.
