CSGO: NiKo talks about FaZe Clan lineup after being eliminated from IEM Katowice

Nikola ‘NiKo’ Kovač has cleared up rumors about FaZe Clan’s roster after the team’s quarter-final defeat at the IEM Katowice Major to Natus Vincere.

NiKo is considered one of the best CSGO players in the world in recent years. And for many people, they were shocked when FaZe had an unstable journey in the Legends round, only to be defeated by Na`Vi in the quarterfinals.

In an interview with HLTV, NiKo explained his mindset as he entered the event and what the future of the FaZe Clan lineup will be.

Players were surprised at how the team performed at the Major. “We were so surprised at how the members performed at the event, we thought we would play much better. Going into the major, we thought we could win it.”

Some fans wondered if FaZe would change their roster after Karrigan, the team’s IGL, was replaced in December.

NiKo has confirmed that the team’s new coach, Janko ‘YNk’ Paunovič will “stay at 100%” after the trial period.

He also said that while the future of FaZe Clan’s roster is unknown, stand-in player Dauren ‘AdreN’ Kystaubayev will remain on the roster “for the time being, at upcoming events.”

However, NiKo remained confident about the team and learned many positive things from the Major. “This has been a very good experience for me. I think I have changed a lot.”

He is scheduled to return with the team at Blast Pro Series São Paulo on March 22.
