The Danish player will return to play after three months of playing.
Astralis is officially joined by player Patrick “es3tag” Hansen. He joined this squad after becoming a free agent. Before that, he played for Heroic since mid-2017.
The 24-year-old has finally completed the transfer process after months of waiting, having agreed with Astralis on March 22, when he had just three months left on his contract with Heroic. This move has adversely affected the process of transferring the Heroic roster to FunPlus Phoenix in the final stages of the transaction.

The presence of es3tag will expand the Astralis roster to seven after Jajob “JUGi” Hansen signed in May, then also a free agent. The Danish AWPer currently plays for the team and is expected to be a backup player from now on for Lukas “glave” Rossander and Andreas. “Xyp9x” Højsleth.
In a recent interview, Astralis star Nicolai “device” Reedtz confirmed that gla1ve will return in August but emphasized that Xyp9x has not yet scheduled a return, to avoid stress. That means es3tag can play Astralis’ opening match at ESL One Cologne, which is scheduled to take place from August 21 to 30.
When asked about the decision to add es3tag, device praised his teammates’ flexibility: “he can do AWPer, lurk and play map control” and his ability to help his teammates play better.
es3tag played for three years with Heroic after transferring from Tricked in June 2017. He helped the team win Games Clash Masters 2018, Toyota Master Bangkok 2018 and DreamHack Open Atlanta 2019. He played his last match on March 15, losing to Cloud. 2-1 at Flashpoint before being substituted by Heroic.
