After creating one of this year’s gaming phenomenons, Auto Chess developer Drodo Studio is determined to take his pet to the next level. Along with major esports services and platforms like Varena and – and many other Chinese esports teams – Drodo will launch the China Autochess Expert Community, or CAEC (Chinese Auto Chess Elite Community for short).

CAEC has two goals: create professional system for Dota Auto Chess – to discover and build esports talent; and help esports teams find and sign these talents.

CAEC’s esports program includes three professional qualifiers each year. Players who perform well will be confirmed as pro players and receive their own ranking in the game, starting from “Professional (Junior)”. This will set them apart from casual gamers, whose ranks range from Pawn to Queen. Once certified as a pro, only the best players can compete in pro tournaments in the game’s ranking system, receive bonuses, and earn rewards. contract with esports teams.

Many esports teams in China, including LGD Gaming, have built their own Auto Chess teams.

In the first round, the total prize money between the open qualifier and the Qualification series was about $9,130.

  • May 1 to 5: Open Qualifiers

  • Open Qualifiers
    • Visit, click on “Professional trailer series” to register
    • After registration, players can compete on Varena and try to get to the top of the leaderboard.
    • Top 300 players will advance to the Qualification Series
  • Qualification Series
    • The Qualification Series includes 300 players from the open qualifiers and 60 players invited by esports organizations and streaming platforms.
    • During the competition, the player will gain/lose points based on his/her last rank
    • After the Series ends, the 20 players with the highest score will have the opportunity to sign a contract with an organization and become a professional player.

  • 3rd place: 1,000 Yuan (~ 3,450,000VND)

  • 1st place: 20,000 Yuan (~ 69,160,000VND)
  • 2nd place: 10,000 Yuan (~ 34,580,000VND)
