Apex Legends Season 2: New gun details and new weapon and accessory changes

Apex Legends season 2

We know that Apex Legends will have a new Light Machien Gun (LMG) in season 2 because Respawn announced this information at EA Play, but people don’t know many details about it. Recently, the developer released a weapon introduction video to let players know more about the new LMG L-STAR, as well as a few other changes in this Season 2.

L-STAR will be very rare and it will only drop in the supply drop. This slow-firing LMG will deal massive damage.

Respawn shared that bullets fired from L-STAR will fly slowly, but players “don’t need to be very precise to hit the target”, meaning that the damage doesn’t really make a difference when shooting people and heads. We also know this gun will get hot if fired continuously for too long. If the L-STAR becomes too hot, the gun will stop firing for a period of time. Therefore, it is better to shoot one by one or burst.

Some guns are also buffed, including Flatline, P2020, Alternator and Triple Take to make them stronger, but exact information will not be announced until the season 2 patch note is released. In addition, P2020 and Alternator are also buffed thanks to new accessories.

Regarding P2020, Hammerpoint Rounds will be a new accessory for the gun and it will deal more damage to the opponent without armor. Hammer Point Rounds can be attached to Mozabique – Respawn hopes this change will convince players to “sometimes hold them in late game circumstances.” Meanwhile, Alternator and RE-45 also have a new accessory called Disruptor Rounds, which deals more armor damage. In addition to the new accessories Respawn is also adding an Energy Mag accessory to Apex, allowing Energy weapons to carry more ammo and load faster – if you have a level 2 or higher magazine.

Respawn also announced some minor weapon changes. Arc Star will deal more damage when the dart hits an opponent, but it will deal less area damage. In addition, the Golden Weapon will be more diverse so that players can find it in hot areas each match.

Weapons from the Airdrop also change depending on the stage of the match. If it is an early game airdrop, it will likely have a Kraber sniper, because the circle is still wide, while the Mastiff shotgun is more likely to come out in the late game, to fight more reasonably in a small circle. Finally, the amount of ammo the player carries also changes. You can now only hold 16 Shotguns per stack – down from 64 – but can hold 80 Energy ammo instead of 60.

These changes, among others, will be available on Apex Legends Season 2 from July 2. These are just the announced changes that players can expect in the new season, they may be. will change from now until Season 2 officially launches.
