Although newly released, Yone and Lilia are the 2 most balanced champions in League of Legends

Developers gameplay of the League of Legends Mark “Scruffy” Yetter just announced the great news that the “200 years of experience” balancing team has finally done a great job when claiming that Lillia and Yone are two generals very well balanced, far ahead of the “seniors” in previous updates like Sett and Aphelios. Although it still needs a few more tweaks, for now, both are still running smoothly.

Lillia is considered the most perfect model for the concept of “balance” in the present time, surpassing the expectations of Riot Games. According to Scruffy, Lillia has a “smooth and neat” skill set and it takes a long time for players to understand and master this shy girl. Even so, Lillia will still need to tweak a few things in the near future.

Similarly, Yone is also considered to be quite balanced despite going through a few rallies reducing power. Scruffy shared: “Time will tell if we need to do more tweaking, but overall we are seeing positive patterns from Yone with fighting play as intended (matching play is well balanced). is a challenge to design for the assassin class).”

Even so, Yone will still have to sit in the audience seat in the near future Worlds 2020 due to still not enough time to test the reality because the nerf has been slightly reduced in version 10.17. This is a right decision, drawn after the times Senna, Aphelios and Sett became smooth champions in the pick and ban phase at international arena and must nerf quite a few times before a relative equilibrium is reached.

This is also a “long-term equilibrium goal” that Riot is aiming through long-term experience and tracking of win rate indicators in the time players get used to like Lillia used to. Riot also equips themselves with another strategy to track faster and more closely to have a timely solution when the champion is over-edited like in the case of Yone.​
