Gabe Newell is the co-founder and president of software development company Valve. Nickname familiar game community or call him Gaben. Gaben became a mysterious figure in the PC gaming world. Fans worship and are willing to donate their wallets. Gaben always speaks softly but confidently when announcing the opening of The International at each of the most expensive esports tournaments on the planet. Gaben is also known for his insightful hints about Valve’s future projects. He joked about the Valve console this past May, two months before Valve officially announced the Steam Deck – its handheld game console.

Valve’s secrecy is what makes Gaben so popular. Valve is known to be very tight-lipped when it comes to the studio’s game projects, which always annoys Dota 2 and CSGO fans. Gaben is considered a piece that connects Valve with fans. Fans love to take pictures with him, something Gaben always agrees and encourages everyone to do.
As for the current life of Gabe Newell, he is currently living in New Zealand after being stuck due to travel restrictions in 2020.
