According to Shym, Jay “sinatraa” Won of Sentinels and Nicholas “nitr0” Cannella of 100 Thieves make $25,000 USD per month, or about $300,000 USD a year. If this news is true, it means that sinatraa and nitr0 are among Valorant’s highest paid pro players.

Fans predict sinatraa and nitr0 to have very high salaries thanks to their impressive performance from Overwatch with CSGO. Sinatraa used to belong to San Francisco Shock, the team that won the Overwatch League. He continued to be the focus and won the MVP title in 2019. Nitr0 most recently played CSGO for Team Liquid before deciding to change to Valorant. He helped Team Liquid become the best CSGO team in 2019.

Now, due to sinatraa’s suspension, it is unlikely that he will be able to earn the full $25,000 USD a month anymore. Many esports contracts include a clause that reduces wages when players are not competing. While some people joked that the Sentinels didn’t let sinatraa compete in order to avoid paying high salaries, the truth is that the organization is investigating him for allegations of abusing his ex-girlfriend.

Do sinatraa and nitr0 make more money than other North American esports players?

While the amount of sinatraa and nitr0 paid out is nothing to complain about, many Valorant fans believe the number will be even higher as Valorant becomes more popular esports. Currently, the game is still quite new. League of Legends has a much higher salary, as Lee “Faker” Sang-Hyeok earned $2.5 million from a 3-year contract with T1.

However, the average salary of an LCS player is only about $300,000 a year, equivalent to the top players of Valoroant. Salary is decided based on the player’s ability and popularity. League of Legends is an esports that has been around for a long time and is much more stable than Valorant.

This salary information was leaked on Shymko’s Twitch stream, but the clip was later deleted. It seems that the female streamer believes that this number is known to everyone. Because at the end of the stream, she asked like this: “Am I not allowed to say this information?”.
