Thorin's CS:GO World Top 10 Ranking, October

The world CSGO rankings are constantly changing. However, with so many different events, it is difficult to determine whether one tournament is more important and valuable than the other. Instead of spending a lot of effort based on a scoring system, Thorin reviewed the performance of the past teams and came up with a world top 10 ranking based on his own experience and analysis.

Thorin will only count the results of offline tournaments. In general, he will judge based on the achievements of the teams in the past 3 months, recent achievements will be appreciated more. In the end, the current roster and head-to-head record will be the main factors for ranking.

Since the last ranking we have had tournaments like Dreamhack Masters Malmo, Dreamhack Montreal, ESG Tour Mykonos and ESL One New York.

Here is the CS:GO top 10 rankings for October 8, 2017:

  1. SK Gaming (coldzera, FalleN, fer, TACO and felps) [-]

Recent achievements:

ESL One New York (1st place)

PGL Krakow (rank 5-8)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (rank 5-8)

ESG Tour Mykonos (3rd place)

ESL One New York (ranked 3-4)

Although SK is in an unprecedented decline, the Brazilian team still has remarkable achievements. Their victories have been dwindling, with the exception of Cologne, but they still made it to the playoffs of the last 4 tournaments they participated in, in which they also finished in the top 4 of a major tournament (ESL One New York).

Even though it hasn’t won many championships anymore, SK is still the most impressive team right now. They have won 7 different maps against the top 10 teams and 3 wins in the BO3 series (FaZe, C9 and VP), such achievements keep them at the 1st place and the teams below have to try. tried so hard to dominate SK.

2. G2 (shox, kennyS, apEX, NBK and bodyy) [+2]

Recent achievements:

ESL One Cologne (rank 5-8)

PGL Krakow (9-11th place)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (1st place)

The French championship in Malmo brought G2 to a higher rank, with victories over two teams from Brazil (IMT and SK) and owning the trophy. As one of the few teams that didn’t change their lineups or positions, they won the Cologne top 8 convincingly. G2 achieved 2nd place for the first time, under shox and ScreaM, they only managed to get as high as 4th despite reaching 2 major tournament finals.

3.FaZe (NiKo, Rain, GuardiaN, olofm and karrigan) [-1]

Recent achievements:

ESL One Cologne (3rd-4th place)

PGL Krakow (15-16th)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (9-12th)

ESL One New York (1st place)

FaZe burned everything that stood in their way to claiming the title in New York, but their run at the tournament was highlighted by a C9 win in a BO3 streak, their opponent in the Team Liquid finals. there was no ranking at that time. Keep in mind that they changed 2 people in the team so FaZe’s Cologne win won’t be as appreciated as the scoring system did.

4. Gambit (AdreN, mou, Dosia, HObbit and fitch) [+1]

Bảng xếp hạng CSGO top 10 thế giới của Thorin tháng 10 4 - Emergenceingame

Recent achievements:

PGL Krakow (1st place)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (3rd-4th place)

ESG Tour Mykonos (ranked 5-6)

Gambit is no longer led by the legendary Zeus, but they are still shocking to take the top 4 in Malmo, a commendable achievement. They also beat Astralis in the BO3 series to get the top spot. The Mykonos tournament was a disaster, but Gambit’s win (FNATIC, beat Astralis twice and even FaZe with a new roster) was pretty impressive, despite their recent roster changes. Few would have thought that Gambit would be able to rank up after Zeus’s departure, but CS:GO is a world full of surprises.

5. Team Liquid (Twistzz, stanisla, nitr0, EliGE and JDM) [MỚI]

Recent achievements:

ESL One Cologne (rank 5-8)

ESG Tour Mykonos (2nd place)

ESL One New York (2nd place)

Team Liquid is back in the rankings, reaching 5th, equal to C9’s in the summer, but lost to OpTic earlier in the year. TL (Team Liquid) not only got this place because of the good results: the runner-up title at the ESG Tour Mykonos even though this tournament didn’t have too many top teams appearing. Then there was ESL One New York, another tournament. The competition includes quite a few teams with high rankings in the rankings. Liquid has racked up a series of impressive wins: first being runner-up at the ESG Tour Mykonos, even though it wasn’t a heavyweight event, then runner-up at ESL One New York, which included a lot of big players. ‘ which TL won. Last summer, while Cloud9 faced light opponents and easy brackets, TL had to beat SK twice to reach this rank and they took out Astralis, as well as VP.

The NA team with a similar record is the C9 team of the summer of 2015, also reaching the final twice. Team Liquid is not only ranked in the top of the world, but they have also proven themselves to be the strongest team in the current NA CS:GO region.

6. Astralis (device, dupreeh, Kjaerbye, Xyp9x and gla1ve) [-3]

Recent achievements:

PGL Krakow (3rd-4th place)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (rank 5-8)

ESL One New York (5-6)

New York was the first event where Astralis failed to make it to the playoffs since gla1ve joined. This team has not won many championships anymore, only the result of defeating SK in the BO3 and Na`Vi series. Astralis have never dropped below 4th this year, but the teams above them have outperformed, pushing them down to 6th.

7. North (Aizy, k0nfig, cajunb, valde and MSL) [MỚI]

Bảng xếp hạng CSGO top 10 thế giới của Thorin tháng 10 - Emergenceingame

Recent achievements:

ESL One Cologne (9-11th place)

PGL Krakow (rank 5-8)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (2nd place)

Dreamhack Montreal (1st place)

The previous rankings showed that North completely fell out of the top 10, but with the ‘blood change’, Valde’s presence helped North have victories and quite good results to return to the top team position. . North beat SK, Gambit, C9 and IMT; all in a BO3 series. Finished 2nd in Malmo, and won the Montreal Championship – a tier 2 event and 2 series wins against two strong teams, C9 and IMT. It is these things that have brought North back to the rankings convincingly.

8. Cloud 9 (Skadoodle, RUSH, tarik, Stewie2k and autimatic) [-2]

Bảng xếp hạng CSGO top 10 thế giới của Thorin tháng 10 6 - Emergenceingame

Recent achievements:

ESL One Cologne (2nd place)

PGL Krakow (9-11th place)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (9-12th)

Dreamhack Montreal (3rd-4th place)

ESL One New York (ranked 3-4)

C9’s 4th place is because they have fully exploited the weakness of Na`Vi’s new lineup when s1mple and his teammates have not really played well. Changing 2 positions in the squad also affected their final result (Cologne), but with previous victories, they did not fall down too much.

9. Immortals (boltz, steel, kNg, HEN1 and lucas1) [-2] (current lineup is no longer available)

Bảng xếp hạng CSGO top 10 thế giới của Thorin tháng 10 7 - Emergenceingame

Recent achievements:

ESL One Cologne (ranks 12-14)

PGL Krakow (2nd place)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (rank 5-8)

Dreamhack Montreal (2nd place)

IMT’s line-up will not stay the same in the next offline event, but their current lineup is still appreciated. Making the playoffs in Malmo and runner-up in Montreal plus bo1 wins (Na`Vi, Gambit, FNATIC, G2 and C9) gave them 9th place in this CS:GO leaderboard. , although Immortals will surely disappear in the rankings soon.

10. Ninjas in Pajamas (GeT_RiGhT, f0rest, REZ, draken and Xizt) [MỚI]

Bảng xếp hạng CSGO top 10 thế giới của Thorin tháng 10 8 - Emergenceingame

Recent achievements:

ESL One Cologne (rank 5-8)

Dreamhack Valencia (1st place)

Dreamhack Masters Malmo (3rd-4th place)

Although mouz won a tournament, it was NiP that made it to the bottom of the top 10. The “ninjas” finished top 4 in Malmo and took out 4 out of 5 champions. rival Major (Gambit) and beat Na`Vi’s lineup in a tense series of matches. In singles maps, they beat OpTic, G2 and FaZe. This is definitely not a solid position for NiP as they constantly have to change positions on the leaderboard even when they have just won 2 bo3 matches Obviously these victories are not enough to help. they stayed in the top 10, but it shows the value of the BO3s that NiP has won (against the top teams)
