It’s not uncommon for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to suffer from hacking problems. Usually people using aimbot, forcing developers to ban hundreds of thousands of accounts during Early Access. However, just discovered a new type of hack that helps players not lose blood even when standing outside the circle.
Game synopsis for those who haven’t played PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds: the game pits the player against 99 other players on a large island filled with guns, vehicles, and other useful items. A magnetic storm (circle) will surround the player and shrink as the game progresses. The circle will force everyone to enter the safe zone, the big white circle on the map.
The latest bug or in other words this hack allows the player to win by just standing still, while the opponent will have to follow the circle until the game is over. This bug was pointed out by Reddit user hanchengsh. He spotted another PUBG player winning multiple matches in a row without damaging other players or taking any lives. Then other Reddit users joined in. They posted evidence of some players winning continuously without dealing any damage or taking any lives.
It seems that this bug or hack renders the player invisible, and it also appears to be activated in the early game. However, there is still no satisfactory explanation as to how this hack is done or how these people know how to exploit it continuously to win multiple matches in a row.
Now that this issue has been noticed and surely PUBG Corp. will fix this in a future patch. PUBG Corp is very adamant about anti-hacking in PUBG. This is a problem that frustrates many players.
If this is a game bug, hopefully the method to activate it will be found out so the developer can fix them immediately. But if it is a hack, the developer needs to find a better way to detect players who are using the hack.
