Fortunately, the single-player mode in the game will still be retained, as game director Mathis Karlson has confirmed you can completely play solo.
According to Karlson, while Ubisoft Massive decided on some new co-op features for The Divsion 2, the studio decided to keep the solo part of the original. The director said it was “the core part” for the development team, that “there is no right or wrong way to play The Division.” In order not to disappoint single-player fans, Karlson emphasized that players “can play the story campaign up to the end of the game and then the content after the game alone.”
With the news that The Division 2 will have a completely solo experience that will surely make single-player fans excited while exploring the US capital Washington DC alone. As mentioned earlier, The Division 2 will focus on co-op. Karlson emphasized that players can play from “two, three, or four-player co-op, while “two full groups” for eight-player co-op raids will be added later.”
Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is currently scheduled to release on March 25, 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
