PUBG Mobile in China was forced to adjust to comply with the regulations on publishing violent games in the country. When you finish off a player, the character will wave goodbye and hand over his loot.

Last December, the Chinese government also lifted a nine-month ban to allow new video games to be released in the country. However, this removal order introduces a number of new requirements and restrictions – including banning games related to gambling, gore, violence as well as content that defames China.

Of course, this ban limits PUBG, but Tencent has its own measures. The Chinese technology company has released the mobile version of the game with a new name called ‘Game for Peace’.

How is PUBG Mobile in China different?

When entering the game, you still land on the familiar Erangel map, but the violence in the game has been reduced. The mission remains the same: become the last survivor.

However, when hitting an enemy, the player will not see blood spatter. The health effect will be replaced by the paintball hit effect.

The new changes make the game quite funny, especially when you kill the enemy. Instead of the corpse disappearing from the ground and leaving only the loot box, the opponent will wave goodbye and give you the loot box.

Why does PUBG Mobile China have to change like that?

More than 70 million people play PUBG Mobile daily in China, but Tencent’s game is not approved by the government. They can’t add in-game transactions, which means the company can’t make any money.

PUBG Mobile closes the Chinese server, replacing it with a new battle royale game

According to information from the developer, the game “pays tribute to the sky warriors”, the defenders of Chinese airspace. The game allows players to transfer their PUBG Mobile account information and rank to the new version.
