The ‘difficult’ difference between PUBG Mobile China and the international version

PUBG Mobile in China was forced to adjust to comply with the regulations on publishing violent games in the country. When you finish off a player, the character will wave goodbye and hand over his loot.

Last December, the Chinese government also lifted a nine-month ban to allow new video games to be released in the country. How is PUBG Mobile in China different?

When entering the game, you still land on the familiar Erangel map, but the violence in the game has been reduced. The mission remains the same: become the last survivor.

However, when hitting an enemy, the player will not see blood spatter. The health effect will be replaced by the paintball hit effect.

The new changes make the game quite funny, especially when you kill the enemy. Instead of the corpse disappearing from the ground and leaving only the loot box, the opponent will wave goodbye and give you the loot box.

Why does PUBG Mobile China have to change like that?

More than 70 million people play PUBG Mobile daily in China, but Tencent’s game is not approved by the government. They can’t add in-game transactions, which means the company can’t make any money.
