The COVID-19 pandemic is about to be turned into a horror movie

Movies with the theme of epidemics are no longer strange to the audience, that’s why when COVID-19 outbreak, it became a subject for filmmakers. The Hollywood Reporter today reported that Canadian director Mostafa Keshvari is filming a movie movie taken with the content revolving around this pneumonia called Corona.​

It is known that Corona will be a horror film, set in the city of Vancouver (Canada), bringing together a cast of new names. The story happened in the elevator of an apartment building, seven residents of this apartment complex were stuck in the elevator when COVID-19 broke out in the early stages. A Chinese girl in which is discriminated against by the remaining 6, they suspect that this Chinese girl who has just moved in has contracted a new pneumonia caused by Corona virus and will infect her.

The director also said that when he was filming this movie, a new epidemic broke out in China, he did not expect that it would spread all over the world. Using the COVID-19 pandemic that originated in China to lead the way, the director wants to explore fear and racism among tenants trapped in that same elevator. Thereby, director Mostafa Keshvari also wanted to convey the message: “The virus does not discriminate, anyone can be infected, so why should we stigmatize and discriminate against others?” . The film is currently edited and ready for resale.​
