This week, you can get Tacoma and Next Up Hero for free on the Epic Games Store.
Tacoma is a sci-fi adventure game from Fullbright, the studio that developed Gone Home. In Tacoma, you explore an empty space station, searching for clues to see what happened to the missing crew. Along the way, you’ll get to know and learn about private conversations, along with the community and life within, and what caused the space station to be abandoned.
This is not a long game, but with beautiful graphics that will quickly draw you into the game. Players will hear character ghosts and footage reconstructed from surveillance cameras as well as other data. This is a game worth checking out (not to mention it’s free).
Next up we have Next Up Hero, which is a hand-drawn co-op dungeon crawler game. The game allows you to collect fallen heroes to form an army of ghosts. Every time someone dies in Next Up Hero, they leave an echo. They are used to assist the player in missions.
This RPG with Tacoma will be free on the Epic Games Store until July 30. After that, Epic Games will give away three replacement games: 20XX, Barony and Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP.
