Splyce officially withdraws from CS: GO

Splyce officially confirmed they have withdrawn from CS:GO esports indefinitely.

In a video posted on Twitter, Splyce CEO Marty “Lazerchicken” Strenczewlk admitted the team was “not in a good competitive position” and explained that the decision would allow the organization to invest more time and resources in new projects. other arrays.

After rebranding since moving from live streaming under the name Follow Esports in late 2015, Splyce started participating in CS:GO.

The North American organization received a lot of attention for its presence at the MGL Columbus Major – the tournament they won the right to participate in after replacing TheMongolZ (visa problem) in the offline qualifiers.

Since then, Splyce has not been able to play stably. The CS:GO team will be moving Leicester for the ESL Pro League’s relegation round after a disappointing 11th place finish of the season.

“These decisions were not easy, they involved a lot of people and days of controversy,” said Splyce CEO. “This is the best decision for everyone.

“I really love all the players who have played for the organization. I look forward to seeing them again for many years to come, and I wish them success in other teams.”

It is not clear at this point whether the players will be released from their contracts or transferred to another organization.

Splyce’s CS:GO team still doesn’t know who the 5th member playing for them in the Pro League relegation round is. Former CLG member Ricardo “Rickeh” Mulholland was unable to attend due to registering with the team after the transfer window ended. But according to information from Dust2.us, the team appealed to WESA for an urgent transfer. If allowed, the team can use the Australian player at the event from May 9 to 10.
