Sony reveals official PS5 controller – DualSense

In the latest post on PlayStation Blogs, Sony suddenly revealed the first images of DualSense – official handle of PS5. Besides the similar design with DualShock of PS4 DualSense has made many improvements and integrated more modern technology to enhance the user experience.

The first and most obvious is the main color of DualSense: black and white. Traditionally, Sony’s handles are usually all black, but DualSense with a two-tone combination looks much more prominent. While Microsoft remains faithful to the full black controller again, Sony may be time to make some breakthroughs to attract more attention.

In addition to the different external design compared to previous PS series, this controller is also equipped with “Adaptive Trigger” on L2 and R2, allowing players to feel the lightness of each action. For example, when performing a backward pull of the bowstring, for example, the player may feel a little heaviness in the fingertips. DualSense also has a feature called “Haptic Feedback” to gamer can experience characteristic sensations while playing, making interactions with the environment much more subtle, such as when wheels lose friction while driving in a swamp.

Along with that, DualSense also integrates Mic so that players can communicate with friends more easily in Co-op or Multiplayer games without the need for additional accessories. The Light Bar is also cleverly designed on the top of the handle with the main white color instead of the old black.

Sony also turned the “Share” button into a “Create” button. In PS4, the Share button allows gamers to take screenshots, record gameplay videos right on the device or livestream to Twitch and Youtube, but the Create button, although the feature is still unclear, but it seems that PS5 will have more options than simple.
