Sony launches PS4 Limited Edition to celebrate Days of Play

Days of Play is finally back with a limited edition PlayStation 4 console and some discounted PlayStation games.

The limited edition Days of Play PlayStation 4 features a 1 terabyte hard drive with the gold PlayStation logo on the blue box and the Dual Shock 4 controller with the corresponding design. This version is only available in the US and Canada, the European and UK versions only have 500 gigabyes but come with two handles. This limited edition PS4 will be available on June 8 for $300/€250.

This isn’t the only special event in PlayStation’s Days of Play, which runs from June 8 to June 18. The Jet Black PlayStation 4 edition is also on sale for $350 instead of $399, and the PSVR set is on sale for $350 as well. $200, including system and select games. There are many other discounted components like $40 for any Dual Shock 4 color controller as well as $79.99 for a pair of PlayStation Move controllers.

Games on sale include God of War, which sells for $50, Grand Turismo: Sports, Horizon: Zero Dawn, MLB The Show: 18, and Shadow of the Colossus. For existing PlayStation Plus users, you’ll get even more discounts, along with many other PSVR games.

These new PlayStation 4 releases will certainly quell rumors of a new PlayStation arriving at E3, and Sony previously denied a PS5 appearance at E3.

Sony’s Days of Play that first started in June 2017 also includes discounted titles (Horizon: Zero Dawn, Nioh, and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End) as well as a few other components. This summer, there are not too many games released for PS4, so Days of Play will partly create a reason for gamers to entertain previous PS4 titles.
