Want to play Counter-Strike: Global Offensive while playing Dota 2? Or simply want a new game experience in Counter-Strike? Polystrike is the answer.

This Dota 2 mod is officially open in beta, giving fans a chance to try out a new game mode that blends CSGO and Dota esports titles.

Ploystrike leverages Dota 2 and Counter-Strike, transforming CSGO into a top-down shooter. The game is heavily influenced by many other titles such as Alien Swarm and Hotline Miami. Polystrike has a fast tempo and is fun to play.

Although the graphics look slightly different, it is still basically Counter-Strike. The game retains the same rules of play, and includes familiar features, as well as the economic system of CSGO.

The mod was first released in July 2019 and the game has since improved significantly over time. To promote the game during the transition to open beta, Polystrike released a new trailer with smoother gameplay and gunfights.

The open beta trailer introduces many maps in the competition including Inferno as well as a tribute to CS 1.6 Pool Day. Notably, the game also has a hostage rescue mode and familiar bombs.

Polystrike is available now, with more details about the game on the game’s Steam community page. Mod author Mark Mocherad is constantly releasing patches. You can follow him on Twitter.
