Monster Hunter World x Devil May Cry Crossover DLC Announced

Monster Hunter World x Devil May Cry Crossover DLC Announced

Monster Hunter World recently got a lot of new DLC. Most recently, Capcom gave players free loot to celebrate the game’s impressive sales milestone. In addition, the game also has many new missions for players. But that’s not just what Capcom is developing. The company has just announced that there will be a large crossover (other game characters appear in this game) in Monster Hunter World.

Today, Capcom confirmed they are preparing Devil May Cry content for Monster Hunter World. This announcement comes as Capcom has just launched Devil May Cry HD Collection for PC and Console.

One of the things in the Devil May Cry DLC that Monster Hunter World fans can look forward to is the “combined” weapon between Force Edge and Alastor, two weapons wielded by Dante in the DMC games. In Monster Hunter World, this weapon will be classified as “Charge Blade”. Capcom explained that while the weapons in Charge Blade often come with a large “shield”, the Force Edge/Alastor combo will not have a shield, however, players can still use it to defend. Capcom also said that instead of the sword turning into an ax, the Force Edge will turn into a “super-large Alastor”.

Fans can see the new weapon used in Monster Hunter World as Dante slashes and slashes the game’s massive monsters (Dante also uses bombs to help him). Unfortunately, Capcom has yet to announce the release date of the Devil May Cry DLC. They just told us to “wait and see” for more details on when crossover content will be available. The company also confirmed the DLC will be available to “everyone” who plays Monster Hunter World, as long as they complete the event quest while it’s in the game.

The Devil May Cry DLC is the latest crossover announced in Monster Hunter World. Players on PS4 can get the Horizon Zero Dawn loot by unlocking some armor and weapons from Horizon Zero Dawn protagonist Aloy. In addition, Capcom also took inspiration from Mega Man, letting players turn Palico’s companion into an 8-bit Mega Man character. Obviously Capcom has a lot of exciting content for Monster Hunter World and we’ll have to wait and see what crossovers they add.

Monster Hunter World is available now on PS4 and Xbox One. The PC version will be released in the fall of this year.
