Minecraft hits the milestone of 112 million gamers playing the game every month

In an interview with Business Insider, the head Mojang studiosaid Helen Chiang Minecraft just hit the milestone 112 million won monthly users, far exceeding all previous predictions in terms of player numbers.

Although the number of Minecraft players accounts for more than 1% of the world’s population, the possibility is that the number is “inflated” by playing the game on many different devices or accounts of some people. As of May, the game has earned 176 million sales. From that it can be seen, in fact a lot of users are playing Minecraft with friends or family without directly buying the game.

Minecraft continues to evolve with a new feature that supports ray tracing on PC versions and Minecraft Earth later. The game has been running for ten years, but it is clearly still extremely attractive. The number of 112 million users is even more impressive because Minecraft is a paid game.

This also means that Minecraft has more monthly active users than Roblox – the game has 100 million players per month.
