Lord of the Rings: Gollum – Game Lord of the Rings revealed the image of Gollum’s “Idiot”

Announced back in March 2019, Lord of the Rings: Gollum The game marks the first collaboration between Deadalic Entertainment and Tolkien Estate. True to its name, the game revolves around Gollum – one of the classic and haunting characters in Lord of the Rings. The game is set many years after winning the One Ring and before the events of War of the Ring.​

Recently a series of screenshots of Lord of the Rings: Gollum has been revealed, giving players their first look at the game after a period of silence. Players can encounter familiar images such as iron gates, thorns or machinery, from the scenery of Mount Doom to Hobbiton or Rivendell.

Gollum is widely known on screen for his performance by actor Andy Serkis, becoming a popular icon in popular culture. Daedalic Entertainment’s Gollum is not too different from Andy Serkis’ version but will still have its own differences. In the game, this character will still possess familiar abilities such as stealth and speed. Players will also see the appearance of familiar characters in the Lord of the Rings cinematic universe such as Orcs or Giant Spiders.​

Despite the financial problems, it seems Lord of the Rings: Gollum is making steady progress. The game will launch in 2021 on new consoles Xbox Series X, PS5 and PC platforms.
