How to use Go Transporter in Pokemon Go
Pokemon transfer operations take place at a new menu option named Go Transporter. To access it you need the settings menu Settings in Pokemon Go. Scroll down a bit until you see a list of services. This is where you’ll connect to the Nintendo Switch containing the Pokemon Let’s Go or Pokemon Go Plus games. There’s also a Pokemon Home option here. Click on it – if it’s your first time doing this, the system will ask you to sign in with your Nintendo account. Then press Send Pokemon to begin.
You will find the menu here quite familiar. Just select any Pokemon you want to transfer, they will be highlighted in green.
Pokemon transfer fees
Energy – Energy is a new currency exclusively for Go Transporter. You start with 10,000. It looks like a blue bar and when the color runs out, you will start regaining energy at a rate of 60 per hour. At that rate, it took less than a week to fully charge the bar. You can also use money to recharge faster at the rate of 1 PokeCoin for 10 energy.
Energy cost will vary by Pokemon:

- Shiny – Shiny: +1990
- CP 1001-2000: +100
- CP 2001+: +300
Legendary Pokemon
- Fixed rate: 1000
- Shiny: +9000
- CP 1001-2000: +300
- CP 2001+: +500
Illusion Pokemon
- Fixed rate: 2000
- Shiny: +8000
- CP 1001-2000: +500
- CP 2001+: +700
Restricted Pokemon
You cannot transfer every Pokemon from Pokemon Go to Pokemon Home. Pokemon of certain strange abilities or shapes that only exist in Pokemon Go will not be able to be transferred. Pokemon like Castform, Giratina, and Darmanitan can change form CAN be transferred, but will return to normal form when it reaches Pokemon Home.

- Armored Mewtwo
- Pokemon dressed in Halloween costumes
- Pokemon dressed in Christmas costumes
- Any Pokemon with a special hat
- Shades Squirtle and its evolutionary forms
- Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise and Pikachu clones
- Pikachu flies
- Pikachu Libre
- Flower Crown Pokemon
